The Determined in Containment is more than a hundred hours of training, thirty speakers mobilized, nearly a dozen Masterclasses organized, a team bubbling with ideas and 94 project leaders always on hand!
Friday, March 13, 2020, four days before the beginning of the confinement, while the Covid-19 pandemic seems already to spread on the territory, here, within the Determined ones, we refuse to imagine the worst. The objective is to continue on the same momentum until the announcement of possible instructions of the government which will not be long in coming since from Monday, March 16 in the evening, the sentence falls: the next day at noon, all the French will have to remain confined at home.
Although the news is not easy to get over, we must already think about reorganizing everything. Given the commitments made with nearly a hundred people, the objective is to bounce back as quickly as possible in order to ensure pedagogical continuity. This is why the training sessions will resume by videoconference as of March 27.
Maintain the relationship at all costs to help them progress
During this period of confinement, adapting to each of the beneficiaries was paramount. Their situation was no longer the same and new needs had emerged. Thus, to be closer to them thanks to the establishment of individual follow-ups through telephone calls allowed not only to take news of them, to watch over their well-being and to collect their concerns, but also and especially to identify their needs. Accordingly, groups were formed and this is how co-development with experts was born.
The training program has been revamped and adapts to the constraints of the context
In the training program set up, mutual aid and solidarity are in the spotlight with co-development workshops and others carried out in inter-promo. This was a good time to set up a network of skills exchange between the different project leaders, as well as to connect a large number of entrepreneurs with mentors. For the most advanced Determined, workshops focused on practice and therefore added value. These same beneficiaries have seen their project challenged several times during "crash test defenses". And the icing on the cake was the Masterclass offered to the most deserving!
As surprising as it may seem, this confinement was a godsend for the training and pedagogy part. The Determined team has been able to question itself, to take the time to reflect and to reorganize the different stages of the learner's journey. More than before, the acquisition of solid foundations, the transition to action, and in particular the action of going into the field, has been and will continue to be valued, allowing each person to experience an ever more significant evolution until the primary objectives are reached.
Finally, it was about fifty days during which the association went forward, tested, innovated, adapted, renewed but above all, enriched itself and emerged from this experience grown.
