The Determined and Hyatt launch RiseHY, a mentoring program for out-of-school youth

The Determined in partnership with the Hyatt luxury hotel group, launched the RiseHY program this fall.
The objective is to accompany and train 40 young people who have dropped out of school and are unemployed in order to encourage their recruitment in the hotel and restaurant industry.

To fight against inequality of opportunity, there is nothing better than co-construction. It is in this spirit that the association Les Déterminés has partnered with the Hyatt Group to develop a unique program: a training program for young people who have dropped out of school and are unemployed.

The objective is simple: to accompany them towards professional reintegration with a permanent contract or future career opportunities at stake. 40 young people aged 16 to 24 from Nice, Cannes and Paris have been recruited by the Determined to participate in the RiseHY program. They will follow a 4-month training program that will be divided into 2 phases:

  • 3 weeks of integration led by the Determined to help them formalize their professional project.
  • 3 months of professional qualification certification before they are hired.

"We have committed to sourcing around 40 young people from working-class neighborhoods in the Ile-de-France region and the cities of Nice and Cannes who will benefit from this partnership.
We had more applications than expected, which illustrates the high demand and makes this action meaningful."

Moussa Camara, founding president of Les Déterminés
